So yeah, hi. I'm sat at home, just after Christmas realising that we haven't blogged in a while, so i've decided to fill you in on what we've been up to and what we've got planned for next year, as well as what bands we've been listening to recently... you get the picture.. but yeah. We've been up to a lot lately...
Did a couple of shows in Milton Keynes and London including one at the Bull & Gate in November. It was good fun as it coincided with my birthday, which is always a plus...
Before long however we were called to Europe once again, this time to play for the opening party of the new "Pull & Bear store in Rotterdam! It was great fun, included with free drinks and free "merchandise".. It was one the funnest shows we've played. A film from the event can be found HERE
The journey also had to be one of the highlights, with our tour manager David (formerly from "Air Traffic") showing us Belgiums greatest contribution to the global economy......
CECEMEL
Yes, this 1 litre bottle of chocolatey goodness served us almost like jet-fuel for our trip to the continent. Thanks Cecemel... it's probably all we were drinking. (apart from beer).
Anyway here's some photo's from our live set.
Thanks Holland! We had ALOT of fun! we'll be back soon we promise////////////
So, on the 5th December, our EP "Thinktank" was released online! After a lot of work. We're very pleased so far with the results and feedback from everyone. So yeah.. please buy it. It'd mean alot. It has 4 tracks, and comes with our own accustomed artwork that we've designed... Nice.
You can download it here from itunes.

To be honest, if i were you lot, i'd just google it. But yeah, grab yourselves a copy and come see us live if you like it.......
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
So now, as the new year dawns and the leftover turkey supplies run dry, we ask ourselves.. what's next?
Well...
We're heading back into the studio in January to record 3 or 4 new tracks we've been working on and playing live, very excited as it's a good chance to show everyone what we can do and polish off last years demo's that we made. One of them, "Roots" can be viewed here:
That's all the news on that i can share with you right now, but we'll do another blog about that at the time (If i c4n b3 b0theredddd) Anyhow, you'll love the new songs!!
SHOWS
A very important part of being in a band apart from well... everything else, is playing shows. Which we plan to do a lot more of next year, including... yes, festivals!
But... next year is still a little while away so for now, the only show we've got planned is a night at "Wagon" at The Old Queens Head in Islington for BBC 6 Music. It's free (don't quote me on that) and should be a great night so, do i even have to ask?... come along! Here is the facebook group - WAGON
Speaking of the new year, which is only two days away... i've decided, in spirit to tip you off for our favourite new bands for next year... well at least a couple of them. //////// here goes.
XUUKI - Fresh, experimental rock band from High Wycombe, for fans of Radiohead or the XX. We've been friends for a while through school. Seans brother is the Bassist. Definately worth a listen.
CHINA RATS - New Rock'n'Roll 4 piece from Leeds. Inspired by a love of punk rock, 50's pop and classic British guitar bands. Their song "To Be Like I" is a favourite of mine.
FRENCH SOUL PARTY - A 5 piece Ambient/Dance band from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. A very good band, i think they paint their faces and shit when they play live.
Yeah check em' out *slash* look at our likes on our bandpage to find more sweet music.
But yeah, i've kind of ran out of things to say. We'll be back in January with more tunes and a few remixes off our debut EP. Stay tuned.
Peace xx

Paris, je t'aime. New songs, and The Future.
Hey there! it's been a while, and we've been up to no good!
We've been playing again! and as well as our Milton Keynes show (which was rad) we played our first show abroad w/ The Juveniles and The Nodz @ La Fleche' D'or Paris! It was fun...
Firstly loading up the van was surprisingly easy, i think we might have gotten one much bigger than what we needed, we got to leave half of our gear at home! Result!
Ollie did some filming as part of his documentary.
And here is us stopping at Folkestone, the drive was a long one!
So yes, after a shortly blogged 4 hours, we arrived in France via the Euro-star. And we got lost. We ended up in some village, with a crossroads, not sure on which route to take....
Luckily! we took the right one!... yeah literally we went right, on to the motorway... which seemed like forever. On the way, we made some artwork for our CD's but we completely F*cked it up by accidently cutting them at an angle . Great.
We finally got into Paris and Sounchecked, the traffic being horrendous on the way in, we started straight away. That said though, that was when we noticed how good the venue was!
Feeling slightly out of our depth, we finished sound checking and wandered the streets of Paris, noticing that all the shops were shut, and as Dan pointed out "everyone was eating baguettes". This coming from the same person who thought that Eiffel Tower "didn't look that big" until he realised that it was because we were some kilometers away from it. "No Dan, it's just far away". He also later pointed out that being in the Euro star was like "being in Star-trek". The list could go on, but it provided some entertainment for the hours we spent in the van.
Going back to the venue... we waited in our dressing room as the venue slowly filled up with young, hip, Parisians. We drank with The Juveniles whilst slightly getting on their nerves. In short, we spilt beer everywhere.
Yeah. They had to restock the Fridge 3 times.
Here are some photo's and a video from our live set @ La Fleche D'or. Thanks Paris.

So here we are:
Party Central.
So yeah, we had a good time all in all for our first show abroad, and it won't be our last either.
For future plans! our video teaser is out Monday, which we'll blog about.
We're also on the radio next Friday!
Tune in to 98.0fm and 94.7fm. you'll be able to listen again too and we'll post links for those who can't listen live.

So after what turned out to be very little "heaving and hauling", we set off for France. We took turns picking songs, but we soon argued over what we were to be playing in the van. Turned out to be an eclectic mix of The Drums, Viva Brother, The Horrors, New Order, Radiohead, Xuuki, Aphex Twin, Foals, and Glenn Dogg played some Justin Bieber too. Had to be done.

Coastal Cities Live @ La Fleche D'or (Photos)

After our set we headed down to Club 114 near Lamarck to do a DJ set that we weren't at all prepared for. We got given 3 bottles of Grey Goose Vodka, which came to about £300. We drank it all. Lewis nearly killed everyone by pouring half pints of the stuff... In short, he ended up throwing up everywhere whilst our manager filmed it. Sorry Paris.

Video Shoot + Relief!
So yep, we've done a video shoot for our upcoming official release "Thinktank". You've probably heard the actual track already, but if you haven't then we promise that you'll enjoy the video a whole lot more...

So here is a picture of us, post-shoot in our shed (where we rehearse) we vamped it up by clearing it out, clearing it in and then adding christmas lights, lighting, camera equipment and other mumbo jumbo into the spaces that were left. The constant luminous rays given off by the lighting equipment almost reduced us to tears from the heat but needless to say the footage was looking sick. (in a good way, yeah?)
But that's not all, the day before, we had to wake up at 2am (after a long evening of online chess) to drive down to Southend - on - sea to film some shots by the beach. It was looking good, and we managed to catch a few time lapse shots of the sunrising. The plan was quite simple really, film for absolute hours on end until we got what we wanted, and we did get what we wanted, so it's pretty safe to say the whole thing was a total success!
We're just waiting on the editing to be done at the moment, but we've been told we can expect the video by early to mid September. Trust us, you'll like it!
So.. what else have we been up to?! Well we've been writing mainly, but we also found ourselves the time to record a new track with our good mate Ollie who also mixed our beach pop hit "The Ocean", ha.
It's called relief, and will probably be up and about a bit before our video.
I would put more pictures up but my laptop isn't working very well, so this'll have to do!

Hilarious!
Anyways that's all from us, see you next week.... maybe.

Making ends meet. New Tracks/Photo's/Video Shoot.
So, as you may or may not know, we have two new tracks on the way for you, which is exciting. We've been recording with our good friend Ollie Ma' at his home studio, except for our first track which we recorded in our shed where we rehearse due to a powercut. Still it's a nice shed though right?
But yeah, anyway, we've only got one more track to record now, which is tommorow! so after that we can get them to you! Don't worry we'll post links and stuff.
So, in other news, this weekend we're doing our debut VIDEO SHOOT for "Thinktank"!!!
It's being shot over two days at the shed and at a beach down in southend on sea. We're really excited for this and you're going to love it! We're not sure when exactly after we shoot it that it will get released but we're really keen to get the ball rolling so it should be in a couple of weeks!
Aswell as a video, our management sent us to shoot some new photo's which will be on our pages very soon! We shot them for 7 hours straight near an abandoned council estate in south east london. Somewhere between Kennington and Elephant and Castle, where the film "Harry Brown" was filmed. Let me tell you that it was a strange experience. But we enjoyed ourselves. Like i said, they should be on our pages soon enough!
Anyways, thats all i have to tell you! We'll make sure to post our new tracks, our photo's and our new video all to you when they are done.
Ciao x
